Area 1+2+3 = somatosensory projection (somatosensory homunculus)

Area 4 + 6 = motoric field (2/3 origin of the pyramidal tract)

Area 8 = frontal visual field Augenfeld

Area 17 = primary projection of the visual system

Area 18 + 19 = visual fields

Area 40 = Wernicke's area (1/3 origin of the pyramidal tract)

Area 41 + 42 = auditory cortex

Area 44 + 45 = Broca's area (left)
