The Truncus brachiocephalicus (after Vesalius - Arteria anonyma) describes a common vessel truncus of the aortic arch. Normally, this branch exists onl on the right side. On the left, the subclavian and the common carotid artery origin in the aortic arch separated from each other. A pathological variation is an Arteria lusoria.
