A long-distance occlusion of the left external iliac artery directly after the branching of the internal iliac artery can be seen in the digital substraction angiography. For the recanalisation a guide wire has to be pushed past the occlusion. In the following a stent - adjusted in lenght and diametre - gets implanted and dilated with a balloon.
