The fatty liver is a pathological change of the liver, in which it comes to increased deposition of triglycerides into the hepatic tissue.
The transition of a healthy to a fatty liver is smooth. Generally, a fatty liver refers to a liver cell fattening of 50% of hepatocyts or if the portion of weight of the fat in the liver surpasses 10% of the entire hepatic weight.
