Hello! My name is Jasmin Ulbrich. My son (14) suffers from hyperkeratosis now since more than 5 years. Reasons couldn`t be found yet. It´s probably heritably caused. (Me and my father have a slight hyperkeratosis). Only the left foot is affected. At the beginning the callus was punctual, the size of a pea. The dermatologist diagnosed a wart and treated it with icing and tincture. It didn`t help. Throughout the years, it expanded massively. The dermatologist had to remove it weekly. Because this method was painful and pyschologically burdensome for my son, we now have an aquarium with kangal fishes who gently nibble away the callus. That`s much more comfortable, but after a year, we still don`t see a result! The callus keeps on proliferating. We have been to various doctors and hospitals, none of them could help us. The photo is from 2013, the spots have become much bigger since then! My son can barely walk, jumps on one leg, and often suffers from pain. I signed up here because I hoped someone could help. If you are or know a doctor who is an expert for this disease, please text me!The burden and cluelessness increases more and more.
Thanks for the support! J. Ulbrich.
