Strictly one-sided antimesenterial fibrinous ischemic colitis.
Pathogenesis
The decreased blood flow is usually not caused by an embolism or thrombosis, but rather by arteriosclerosis of the arteries that supply the intestine. It mostly affects the left colon flexure. The patients are typically 60-80 years old.
