Gastric balloon
A gastric balloon is endoscopically inserted into the stomach, then inflated and filled with liquid. It conveys a feeling of satiety due to the constant fullness of the stomach, which is supposed to help the patient to lose weight. The usage of the gastric ballon is restricted to a time period of ca. 6 months.
