Liver, organ and histology
Human liver as an organ and as a histological cut. The liver (hepar) is the largest gland of the human body. It`s located inside the upper right abdomen, below the diaphragm. It fulfills lots of important functions: Production and secretion of bile, regulation of the protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, glykogen storage, detoxification of the body.
