The outer borders are three Glisson's triads (consisting of branches of the portal vein, the hepatic artery, and an interlobular bile duct) and connective tissue. The blood of the portal vein and hepatic artery flows through the liver sinusoids towards the central vein, while providing components for the bile synthesis. The bile flows from the middle of the lobule towards the Glisson's trias into so-called Hering's canaliculi.
