Proliferating Mucinous Tumor of the Ovary. 20 x 16 x 9 cm multicystic tumor of the right ovary, weighing 1260 grams. The appendix and other ovary are grossly normal. Frozen sections of three representative blocs show a mucinous tumor with prominent epithelial proliferation. Thirty-six additional blocs pending for permanents to rule out frank invasive carcinoma.
