Coagulum, coagula (sing. pl.). Gelatinous aggregation of erythrocytes stabilised by fibrin strands.
In daily clinical language use the term "coagulum" is more commonly employed for extravascular clot formation whereas the term "thrombus" is used for intravascular clots. However there is no clear distinction and both terms are often used as synonyms.
