This object was based on the research of Robert L. Dickinson (1861-1950) and presented at the World Expo 1939 in New York. It was part of a series of models, which represented the development of the embryo to birth. Dickinson observed the responses of women during orgasm through a glass body inside the vagina. He saw the contractions of the vagina during orgasm in a functional relationship with the transport of sperm. On loan: The Health Museum of Cleveland, USASource: Deutsches Hygiene Museum in Dresden
