Histological comparison of a healthy glomerulus and a glomerulus in progredient diabetic nephropathy. One can notice an augmentation of the mesangial matrix. The matrix appears in light pink and has a nodular structure, the capillary lumen is obstructed. This condition is called complete golmerular sclerosis.
